HighWater was established in January 2007. HighWater’s core business is the provision of independent directors and related services to the alternative investment industry. ### About Yolanda Banks McCoy Yolanda has over 28 years of financial services experience and, prior to joining HighWater, was Head of the Investments & Securities Division (ISD) at the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA), since November 2006. In this capacity, Yolanda was responsible for effective regulation and supervision of hedge funds, fund administrators and securities investment companies operating in or from the Cayman Islands as well as ensuring compliance and sound conduct in accordance with Cayman Islands regulatory acts, regulations and CIMA’s policies and procedures. As Head of ISD, Yolanda was instrumental with the formation of the Directors Registration and Licensing Act, which today is the foundation of corporate governance in the funds industry in the Cayman Islands. In her role as Head, Yolanda often assisted with providing advice and guidance to the Authority’s Board of Directors and the industry on developments within the alternative investment industry. Yolanda worked extensively with international practitioners, global regulators and allocators to strengthen the regulatory framework of the Cayman Islands’ alternative investment industry and regularly represented the Authority and the Cayman Islands at various forums, conferences and Working Groups.
